Financial Regulation and Supervision (RM404)

Course Content: This course is concerned with recent developments in the regulation and supervision of banking risks with special reference to Basel II within a regulatory and supervisory context. The course aims to equip students with a rigorous understanding and application of financial risks within a regulatory and supervisory framework. Topics such as existence question of banks, financial intermediation and IT risk and its audit. Issues such as internal controls and risk management systems, establishing risk control systems will be covered within a corporate governance framework.
